LCL service is ideal for customers shipping 550 cubic feet or less. Your goods will be consolidated onto a container. These shipments are smaller than a Full Container Load (FCL) shipment. Since you will not be occupying an entire container, you will share space on a container with other customers. This saves you a lot of money because you are not paying for an entire ocean container and thus not paying to ship "air." Your goods are separated from everyone else’s goods on the container so there is no need to worry about "commingling" of the goods.
